Toru WATANABE1), Yuka ISHIHARA2)
Four pediatric cases caused by the same MRSA genomic typing during a six month period were reported. All isolates had the same phage open reading frame typing (POT) 104-9-2, consistency by pulsed field gel electrophoresis, SCC (staphylococcal cassette chromosome) mec Ⅳc, negative Pantone Valentine leukocidin (PVL), positive toxic shock syndrome toxin-1, staphylococcal enterotoxin C, and community acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA). CA-MRSA has spread widely in Japanese children recently.
