This study evaluated HITAZYME C. pneumoniae Ab-IgM improved by its reducing non-specific reaction with rheumatoid factor and resetting of the serological criteria and anti-C. pneumoniae IgM antibody detection kit made by Ani Labsystems Ltd. The results showed that the HITAZYME C. pneumoniae Ab-IgM kit did not have a non-specific reaction with rheumatoid factor but yielded a possibility of a non-specific reaction caused by other factors. The anti-C. pneumoniae IgM antibody detection kit showed high specificity, as well as low sensitivity, giving the likelihood of producing false-negative results. Thus, we should use these diagnostic test kits in consideration of the improved performance.
