This is a clinical analysis regarding 28 infants less than three months of age hospitalized for influenza virus infection during the influenza seasons from 2005/06 to 2010/11. All of patients in this study recovered without antiviral therapy. Their body temperatures stabilized within 48 hours, and their maximum body temperature was 38.0-38.9°C in 71% of patients. This study suggests that antiviral therapy for all the infants with influenza virus infection may not be required.
